About

Diana Skobina, piano, and Lourd Hadweh, clarinet, are an international chamber-music duo based in New York. Diana is an award-winning concert pianist, collaborative artist, and educator from Uzbekistan and a recent graduate of the Professional Performance Diploma program at Manhattan School of Music. Lourd is a Palestinian clarinetist pursuing her Master’s degree at Manhattan School of Music. She previously studied at the Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin and the Conservatoire de Paris and has performed at major venues throughout Europe, including Pierre Boulez Saal, Konzerthaus Berlin, Royal Festival Hall, and Concertgebouw Amsterdam. Together, they bring virtuosity, sensitivity, and a passion for meaningful musical connection.

Music

Our repertoire spans the Classical, Romantic, 20th-century, and contemporary traditions, with a particular focus on the rich dialogue between clarinet and piano. We perform works by Brahms, Poulenc, and Bernstein, among others, exploring music that ranges from lyrical intimacy and elegance to rhythmic energy and vibrant color. We are also passionate about contemporary repertoire and expanding the expressive possibilities of the clarinet and piano. Our goal is to create engaging programs that take audiences on a journey and make chamber music feel intimate, alive, and deeply connected.
