The Loring-Greenough House in Jamaica Plain welcomes Groupmuse to our Parlor Room for a magical night of music. Constructed in 1760, this historic home has been home to the Jamaica Plain Tuesday Club since 1924. In 2008, the club articulated a vibrant new community-oriented role for the House as a center for social, cultural, historical, and educational activities including a long running concert series. Music is in our soul here at the Loring-Greenough House and we welcome you to join us!
What's the music?
The 1760's and 70's were a time of political, social and musical transition and upheaval, and Jamaica Plain's iconic Loring-Greenough House was at the center of some of these fissures. Hear the story of the Loring family's life in a time of polarizing politics in Boston, told through music of the era performed on period instruments.
