    Of the many mighty cultural strengths of the great city of San Francisco, one that flies under the radar for too many of us in the Bay Area is that SF is perhaps the pre-eminent incubator of young operatic talent in the country, and that is, in large part, due to the Merola Opera Program.

    Deeply integrated with though independent from The San Francisco Opera, The Merola Opera Program has, for over fifty years, been a training ground for the best opera singers in the world. For all of you opera nerds out, here is some heavy-hitting name dropping for you: Joyce DiDonato, Anna Netrebko, and Susan Graham, among so many more, all got their start at Merola.

    And now, Merola's 2017 Grand Finale Concert is upon us, where these young superstars express their breathtaking talents once more on the big stage, before they head out into the big bad world to blow minds and break hearts all over the globe.

    And they want Groupmuse to join for the celebration! That's right - Merola has made a limited stack of tickets available to Groupmuse at a huge discount for our next SF Night Out: $40 tickets are available to us for $20.

    Jaws will drop and hearts will stop. Let's have a Night Out.

    TWO NOTES:
    - Though the concert is on Saturday, August 19th at 7.30, sales close up on Monday the 14th at 1pm, so make sure you move now and not later.
    - The concert starts at 7.30, but the concert hall has requested that we show up at 6.30 to pick up our tickets at will-call.
