I'm thrilled to welcome back lutenist Daniel Keene and newly welcome Drew Ivarson for their program featuring the music of John Dowland (1563-1626).
Doors at 7pm, performance at 7:30pm.
What's the music?
The Poore Astronomers, tenor Drew Ivarson and lutenist Daniel Keene, present a program in celebration of the life and music of John Dowland (1563-1626) as this year marks the English composer/lutenist’s 400th anniversary of his death. All music will be performed on period instruments and sung with reconstructed pronunciation! The program will include an array of lute songs as well as a handful of solos for the lute.
Program:
O sweet woods, the delight of solitarienesse
