brunson's music is called healing soul music. It lives at the intersection of improvisation, original compositions, and spoken word poetry. healing soul music is steeped in the traditions of gospel, jazz, soul & spoken word.
What's the music?
sounds of holding into summer will explore themes of change, memory, holding & being held, belonging & longing through improvisation, original compositions, & a reimagined cover or two. many of these compositions have been workshopped during brunson's most recent residency at dear friend books in bed-stuy. other sounds are brand new; others not yet born. thank you for listening. we earnestly hope you enjoy 🖤
