The program features two works also known in their orchestral forms — Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition and Stravinsky's Firebird Suite, in the virtuosic transcription by Guido Agosti — performed here for solo piano.
Minyi Zhang holds degrees from The Juilliard School and is currently pursuing her doctorate at Stony Brook University under Gilbert Kalish. She has performed across the United States, China, Japan, and Europe.
