What's the music?

Tchaikovsky's "Souvenir De Florence" was written in 1890 as a gift for the St. Petersburg Chamber society upon his entrance as an honorary member. This sextet features virtuosic parts for every instrument, flowing melodies, cascading melodies, and beautiful textures pushing the limits for strings.

Brahms' String Sextet No. 1 Op. 18 was written in 1860, famous for it's second movement and cello melody. Brahms was just 27 yrs old when writing this piece, and it was premiered by his dear friend Joseph Joachim, a hungarian violinist. This piece, particularly the 2nd movement, has been featured in modern media including Star Trek, Les Amants, and many more.
