Zachary Weiner returns to 1462 Willard Street for an evening recital. When Zach was last here he played the memorable, "The People United Shall Never Be Defeated". This time he has a new program that promises to be as remarkable.

Zach is the recipient of numerous awards and prizes as a pianist and has performed at the Arnold Schoenberg Center in Vienna and in Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie in New York City. But his favorite recitals have been Groupmuses in small, intimate settings.

Growing up, Zach was a long-time student of Natalie Maynard, herself a disciple of the legendary teachers Olga Samaroff and Sacha Gorodnitszki. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Stanford University, where he was a student of Thomas Schultz. During his time at Stanford, he developed a penchant for the music of the 20th and 21st centuries and has become an advocate for music by living composers, championing works by Sofia Gubaidulina, Lera Auerbach, and Steve Reich. He was most recently a student of Jeremy Denk and Jon Nakamatsu in San Francisco.

In addition to his love for music, Zach is an avid skier and computer scientist.
