Host

Chengcheng M.

Internationally acclaimed pianist Chengcheng Ma, praised by Fanfare Magazine for his “exemplary fashion, with a lovely, exquisitely blended sonority,” and described by Anyrews (China) for his “spiritual depth and extraordinary tonal beauty” and “solid and insightful artistry,” presents a spellbinding recital weaving together centuries of piano innovation.

The program moves from the Baroque-inspired charm of Ketty Nez’s suite française (New York Premiere) and Chopin’s transcendent Twelve Études, Op.10, to the introspective modernism of Rodney Lister’s Many’s the Time I’ve Seen Her Nude at the Piano and the volcanic passion of Liszt’s Dante Sonata. Joined by guest artist Yimiao Fang for Zhao Zhang’s Dance of the Hua Yi, Ma’s performance promises an evening of intensity, beauty, and profound musical storytelling.

Celebrated for performances that are “beautiful and moving” (Fanfare Magazine) and “greeted with strong applause” (The News-Gazette), Ma offers not just a recital—but a journey into the very soul of piano music.
