This is a Groupmuse Night Out

Explore the wider world of music outside Groupmuse with exclusive discounts to local concerts.

Host

Groupmuse Night Out ticket buyers are instructed to pick up their tickets at Merkin Hall Box Office. Seating will be assigned.

Join your fellow Groupmusers for an extraordinary concert featuring Radu Ratoi that redefines the expressive boundaries of the accordion.

Through this recital, Ratoi showcases an astounding range: from Baroque elegance (Rameau overture) to J.S. Bach’s profound Passacaglia & Fugue in C minor (BWV 582), to Liszt’s fiery Transcendental Étude No. 10 “Appassionata,” to a kaleidoscopic world through Schubert, Per Nørgård, Saint-Saëns, and Stravinsky’s Suite Italienne (in collaboration with violinist Lun Li). The program is crowned by a world premiere by YCA’s Composer-in-Residence Hannah Ishizaki — fresh, adventurous, and tailor-made for Ratoi’s daring voice.

🎟️ Thanks to Groupmuse’s Nights Out program, discounted tickets are available. Don’t miss your chance to be present for a night where centuries converge under one performer, pushing the sonic limits of a beloved yet under heard instrument. Reserve your seat now!
