Get ready for an evening of profound sonic exploration with the New York Philharmonic’s Sound On: Inward Journeys on October 29 — a program that shines a spotlight on two visionary contemporary works, under the baton of Brad Lubman and featuring the vocal ensemble Neue Vocalsolisten.

Chaya Czernowin’s Unforeseen dusk: bones into wings (U.S. Premiere) is a daring, atmospheric piece for voices, sampler, orchestra, and expanded percussion — weaving shadow and light, breath and machine, to create a fragmented, dream-like sound-world that lingers in memory long after the last chord.

Hans Abrahamsen’s Vers le silence is a meditation in sound, composed during the solitude of the COVID lockdown — beginning with turbulence and gradually dissolving into silence, it invites the listener to reflect on stillness, absence, and renewal.

✨ Thanks to the Groupmuse Nights Out program, discounted tickets are available for this one-night experience of bold modern repertoire. Don’t miss this chance to witness two powerful works that challenge, provoke, and move — reserve your seat now for a concert unlike any other.
