Program
Following the success of their acclaimed debut album Unconventional Journey, Trio Revolution continues their artistic exploration with a new chapter: Unconventional Journey 2. This program brings together imagination, lyricism, and boundary-crossing style.
George Oakley’s Trio “The Little Prince” receives its U.S. premiere, a five movement reflection on Saint-Exupéry’s timeless story, tracing a journey through wonder, longing, and connection.
From the hands of legendary jazz pianist Roland Batik, the Five Intermezzi (U.S. premiere) fuse classical craft with the freedom of jazz and improvisation, five character pieces that move effortlessly between intimacy and exuberance.
The program concludes with Lowell Liebermann’s Trio No. 1, Op. 83, commissioned by Sir James Galway, a modern masterwork praised for its sweeping lyricism and radiant textures.
This concert offers the rare chance to hear these works for the first time in the United States, not from afar, but up close, in a space where every phrase speaks directly.
