About
Violinist Yuyu Ikeda debuted at the age of ten with the Bellflower Symphony Orchestra. Currently based in New York, she performs regularly with the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and New York Classical Players.
A first prize recipient of the Ruth Widder String Quartet Competition, Yuyu has performed in major music festivals including the Robert Mann String Quartet Institute, Aspen Music Festival, Sarasota Music Festival, and Pacific Music Festival where she was concertmaster. In the summer of 2026, Yuyu is scheduled to appear at the Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival and Chelsea Music Festival.
A dedicated educator as well, she currently serves on the faculty of the Filomen M. D’Agostino Greenberg Music School. She previously taught for Juilliard’s Music Advancement Program and the 2023 Artists Program Chamber Music Festival. She also regularly programs outreach concerts with Concerts in Motion and Project Music Heals Us.
Yuyu holds degrees from Juilliard and Oberlin Conservatory.
