ez Álvarez. I was born in Bayamo\, Granma Province\, Cuba\, a region deep
ly rooted in the traditions of Cuban popular music. Growing up in this ric
h cultural environment had a decisive influence on my artistic vocation fr
om an early age. I am a professional musician specializing in electric bas
s\, with more than fifteen years of experience dedicated to performance\,
teaching\, and music production within the field of popular and traditiona
l music.\nMy musical journey began at the age of nine at the Juan Pablo Du
arte School of Music\, where I started my formal training in classical gui
tar. During this period\, I also participated as a singer in choirs and in
several student-formed musical ensembles. These early experiences helped
shape my musical sensitivity and strengthened my sense of collaboration an
d ensemble work.\nI later continued my intermediate-level studies at the N
ational School of Arts (ENA)\, where I further developed my technical skil
ls and artistic identity. After graduating\, I began teaching music to chi
ldren\, marking the start of my pedagogical work\, which has remained an i
mportant part of my professional life alongside performance.\nAt the same
 time\, I launched my career as a professional musician\, performing with v
arious well-established musical groups. Among the most significant are “
Enrique Álvarez y su Charanga Latina\,” the Jaruco Concert Band\, the o
rchestra “Charanga Melodías del 40\,” and the internationally recogni
zed orchestra “Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco\,” among others. Each of
these experiences contributed profoundly to my artistic growth and to my u
nderstanding of the diversity and depth of Cuban music.\nThroughout my car
eer\, I have participated in more than fifteen recording productions with
artists from different countries\, working as both a bassist and music pro
ducer. I have also had the privilege of traveling to more than twenty-one
countries\, sharing Cuban culture and bringing our music to audiences arou
nd the world.\nSince 2023\, I have been living in the United States\, wher
e I continue to develop my artistic career. In this relatively short time\
, music has continued to open doors and provide meaningful opportunities\,
reaffirming my commitment to artistic excellence\, cultural exchange\, an
 d lifelong excellence.
