z\nMy name is Ernesto Sánchez Álvarez. I was born in Bayamo\, Granma Pro
vince\, Cuba\, a region deeply rooted in the traditions of Cuban popular m
usic. Growing up in this rich cultural environment had a decisive influenc
e on my artistic vocation from an early age. I am a professional musician
specializing in electric bass\, with more than fifteen years of experience
dedicated to performance\, teaching\, and music production within the fie
ld of popular and traditional music.\nMy musical journey began at the age
of nine at the Juan Pablo Duarte School of Music\, where I started my form
al training in classical guitar. During this period\, I also participated
as a singer in choirs and in several student-formed musical ensembles. The
se early experiences helped shape my musical sensitivity and strengthened
my sense of collaboration and ensemble work.\nI later continued my interme
diate-level studies at the National School of Arts (ENA)\, where I further
developed my technical skills and artistic identity. After graduating\, I
began teaching music to children\, marking the start of my pedagogical wo
rk\, which has remained an important part of my professional life alongsid
 e performance.\nAt the same time\, I launched my career as a professional
musician\, performing with various well-established musical groups. Among
the most significant are “Enrique Álvarez y su Charanga Latina\,” the
Jaruco Concert Band\, the orchestra “Charanga Melodías del 40\,” and
the internationally recognized orchestra “Manolito Simonet y su Trabuco
\,” among others. Each of these experiences contributed profoundly to my
artistic growth and to my understanding of the diversity and depth of Cub
an music.\nThroughout my career\, I have participated in more than fifteen
recording productions with artists from different countries\, working as
both a bassist and music producer. I have also had the privilege of travel
ing to more than twenty-one countries\, sharing Cuban culture and bringing
our music to audiences around the world.\nSince 2023\, I have been living
in the United States\, where I continue to develop my artistic career. In
this relatively short time\, music has continued to open doors and provid
e meaningful opportunities\, reaffirming my commitment to artistic excelle
 nce\, cultural exchange\, and lifelong\n\n
